Join us for a special Legacy tournament in memory of beloved local player Jordan Aisaka. In partnership with Card Kingdom and Gamers Engaged, proceeds from this event and the accompanying livestream will benefit the Brain Aneurysm Foundation: a grassroots activist charity dedicated to raising awareness and funding for the study of brain aneurysms.
Legacy format, decklists required, prizing based on standing at the end of up to seven rounds of Swiss play and Top 8 elimination rounds. This is not a Wizards of the Coast-sanctioned event, but certified judges will be officiating as if it were a Competitive Rules Enforcement Level tournament and players are expected to abide by all appropriate Magic Tournament Rules.
Players' decks may be up to 50% "playtest cards". Colloquially called "proxies", playtest cards are cards that represent authentic Magic cards, but are not reproductions, do not feature official art, and could not be mistaken for real Magic cards, even at a glance. Playtest cards are most commonly basic lands or DFC Helper cards with other card names written clearly in marker. For the purposes of this event, paper slips in sleeves and third-party prints that resemble actual cards are strictly disallowed, and there may be no ambiguity about what specific card in a deck any given playtest card represents. Any playtest cards must be clearly marked on decklists with a "(P)" before the card name.
Time: Saturday 7/15, 10:00am-11:00am sign-in, 11:10am start
Entry: $40 ($25 of each entry goes directly to BAF!)

2nd: $240 store credit, 2x Magic: The Gathering 30th Anniversary Edition booster packs
3rd-4th: $120 store credit, 1x Magic: The Gathering 30th Anniversary Edition booster pack
5th-8th: $60 store credit
9th-12th: $40 store credit
13th-16th: $20 store credit
