Ever wanted to try out throwing pottery on the wheel? You’ve found the right place! This class is perfect for those who have no or little throwing experience. Our friendly instructor will walk you through the basics and give you some tips and tricks to get the hang of throwing. The cost is $70- you’ll pay $35 now at the time of booking and the remaining $35 on the day of the class. This is a low-key, beginner class, and no prior clay experience is necessary, and is for ages 15+. If you’re looking for wheel classes for younger students, check out our kids classes & summer camps. Classes are small, maxing out at 6 students, and everyone will have their own wheel for the entire session.
You have the option of returning a second time to paint your piece in our studio, or picking a color and having your piece returned fully glazed. You do not need to make a reservation to come paint your completed piece. If you choose to return, wheel pieces must be painted by the person who made them. The class fee covers your initial class instruction, glazing, and both firings. Though we do our best to create pieces that fire successfully, occasionally pieces do not make it through the kiln. This is a normal part of the firing process and does not entitle the guest to a makeup or refund. This class is all about the experience!
