Breads 1: Sourdough Bread Starter (prequel for Making Sourdough)

In this 1 hour class, you will learn about sourdough bread and how to make a starter. (We recommend you pair this class with the 2-session Making Sourdough class offered next week.)

• Chef Mark will discuss the art and science of sourdough bread and starter
• You will get a kit and begin to make your sourdough starter, and learn how to feed it.
• Take home your kit, your starter, and the recipe.

NOTE: This you can take this class by itself, but it is meant to be taken with Making Sourdough, a 2-session class offered next week.

No cooking experience necessary (Level 1 class).

We will have hot coffee and tea, and cold water available, Feel free to bring nonalcoholic beverages with you.
