Reiki Level I - is your first introduction and connection to the Reiki energy. You will learn how to give Reiki treatments on yourself and other living things that cannot request treatments. The concentration is mostly on healing the physical body with the hands on specific areas of the body.
Reiki Level I – The Physical Body
The first-degree attunement focuses on opening up the physical body so that it can accept and channel the Universal Healing Energy. The four attunements of Level I raises the vibrational energy levels of the four energy centers (Chakras) of the upper part of the body. 
Once you have been attuned you can never lose it, regardless if you do not practice Reiki for many years, your blessing is yours to keep for life. The moment you choose to practice again it will be there for you to use.
