Wet on Wet Watercolor Painting Workshop with Artist, Lynne Looney Sat., June 15th 10am-3pm

$75  Includes: 140 lb White Cold Press Watercolor Paper (students will learn to stretch the paper in the workshop), tracing paper, tape, watercolor paints and use of brushes. Students are welcome to bring their own paper, paints and brushes.  

Beginners to Advanced Levels

This Watercolor workshop, participants will learn the Wet on Wet Technique. Students will begin with the process of learning how to stretch your paper on boards before beginning the process. Lynne will discuss the differences of using different papers and preparation processes. The students will do a tracing before the wet on wet painting process.

Participants will leave with a completed 11x14 painting of "The Old Homestead" painting that is ready to mat and frame. The image shown is an 11x14 in a matted 16x20 frame.

If you are bringing your own supplies, the paint colors that we will be using are:  Cadmium Yellow Light, Yellow Ochre, Burnt Umber, Phthalo Blue, Cerulean Blue, Cadmium Red, Alizarin Crimson, Violet, China White

Lynne Looney is a full-time, professional artist with a formal art degree. She has been painting for 40 years, producing large scale murals, billboards, set design, special events, corporate and private clients. Her work features bold colors, expressive brushwork and multi-textured surfaces.
