Menu of Activities:
Favorite books come to life in our Cooking Classroom as Camp Cook the Books whets the appetite of our Jr. Chefs. Always looking for the fun in food while learning and practicing cooking skills, our PCKids Teaching Team cooks up recipes with campers inspired by children's literature.
Campers receive their very own PCKids Jr. Chef cooking library card on the first day of camp and can check-out his/her favorite books daily to spark their creative culinary imagination.

Each day we strive to prepare 4 dishes, including recipes from this year's book themes:

  • Breads like Challah and Pupusas
  • Frozen Desserts like Custards and Baked Alaska
  • Cultural food like Paczki from Poland and Pancit from the Philippines
  • Food Truck Specialties: Pretzels, Ice Cream, BBQ, to name a few
  • Timeless Retro Recipes like Silhouette Sandwiches, Swedish Meatballs, and Daisy Salads
