Class Description:
Calling all taco enthusiasts! Join us for a fun-filled evening celebrating the vibrant flavors of Mexican street food. In this laid-back class, you'll learn the secrets to creating a delicious and authentic street taco spread, perfect for your next fiesta at home. Your guide is Chef and longtime instructor Sergio Lara. To begin our Street Taco Party tonight, you will be greeted with a margarita. The main dish is Tacos al Pastor, traditional and iconic pork tacos that start with pork marinated in a combination of dried chilies, spices, pineapple, and achiote paste, then seared to perfection on a vertical rotisserie called a trompo.

Next we’ll learn about (and eat!) Roasted Poblanos with Grilled Queso Fresco, with its delightful contrast of smoky (roasted poblanos) and creamy (a rich, savory cheese mixture). And no street taco party is complete without classic Frijoles Charros beans, a hearty side dish with pinto beans and chorizo. You’ll end the evening on a sweet note with , a light and fluffy cake soaked in three kinds of milk. Chef Sergio will also show you how to make a Basic Adobo Sauce that is at the core of a lot of great Mexican food. Of course, we’ll also enjoy Mexican Rice, Smokey Salsa, and Pico de Gallo to accompany everything. You will even get in on the action as you help prepare some of the food under Chef Sergio’s guidance. This is a fun, interactive evening, and beginners are welcome!

Account Credits issued for cancelations within three weeks of a class will expire one year from the date of issuance. We reserve the right to cancel a class for any reason, at any time, in which case you will receive a full refund.
This class is for adults 18+. Children 14-17 years old are allowed if accompanied by a parent or guardian. Please let us know if you plan to bring a minor.
