ALL DAY WORKSHOP THAT WILL GIVE YOU THE SKILLS FOR CREATING AN ENTIRE COLLECTION OF WIRE WRAPPED JEWELRY
This suite of jewelry will become the foundation of your jewelry collection. Bold and contemporary, yet clean and classic. Use your new skills to create these pieces in your mix of favorite precious metals, smooth or twisted wire, and make them small and delicate, or bold and dramatic. There’s absolutely no end to the combinations.
FABRICATIONS:NEO-CLASSIC WIRE WRAPPED BRACELET: This bracelet will teach you all of the fundamental skills of wire wrapping. Learn the feel, shapes and gauges of different metals, how to control and shape them and the architecture of banding all the pieces together. Learn to size and shape. And of course, adding texture and drama with filigree looking twisted wire.
WIRE WRAPPED V COLLAR: Building on the basic skills from the bracelet, we’ll now go bigger and add new shaping skills. We’ll make our collar a bit adjustable so it will fit just right. You’re going to love this collar! Later, you can learn to make wire wrapped pendants that can clip into this collar!
LEARN THE TOOLS: Wire wrapping requires only a few hand tools, so it’s inexpensive to get started, and convenient to work and carry almost anywhere.
SKILLS LEARNED: Basic wire wrapping, controlling all those wires, twisting wire, sizing, shaping and sculpting wire, finishing and polishing
LUNCH: Bring your lunch, snacks and beverages. A lunch cooler is suggested. Finches Country Store is very close, and they have great Hunts Brother's Pizza that you can order 25 minutes ahead. They also have pizza by the slice and fabulous Fried Chicken.

ABOUT FRANCESCA LYNN FAUCETTE THE ARTIST:
A designer at heart, I’ve been creating jewelry since early 1999. I’m mostly self-taught, although I’ve taken workshops in almost all mediums. I’m not always as disciplined in my designs as I'd like, since I hardly ever work from a pattern or direction. I work intuitively, take inspiration and twist and turn it, bash and burn it until I get what I want. My work is bold, expressive, and filled with texture.
TEACHING: I also teach jewelry design and fabrication. This allows me to connect with kindred spirits, sharing positive energy and learning from every student. It feeds my spirit to see students emerge and develop as artists and designers.I always encourage you to add your own personality and flair to the designs learned, developing your signature style and making the design yours alone.I've taught in the Carolinas, at national bead shows, and for almost 2 decades in the Nashville area as Francesca Lynn. I've recently relocated back to the home of my heart, East Tennessee, and started Studio Navarri.
