Being that we are located in a very old building, there are no elevators or escalators. The only way into the upstairs studio is to climb up 18 stairs. We are currently exploring options and funding to make this space more accessible for everyone.
This course focuses on intertwining the natural world sciences and the creative process into 8 weeks of outdoor fun. Create and decorate a simple nature field journal to fill with sketches, leaves and observations. Grind dirt paint, egg tempera with spices, drawing with petals, veggie/berry stains, lake pigment, charcoal, and leaf paper. Students will be going outdoors each session and will be guided by both a teaching artist and a naturalist to fully engross themselves in both worlds.
