What's resin all about? Give this trending craft a try at The 567 Center! Create your own resin photo plaque that you can hang on the wall or display on an easel. All you need to bring is a 4" x 6" photo (or smaller) of your favorite people, place or pet on any type of paper and any small charms or other personal accents you'd like to add to your plaque. You'll be guided step-by-step through sealing your photo, mixing and adding colors, and pouring the resin to create a 6 to 8-inch free form plaque where your photo can permanently reside. This workshop will be led by Malissa Kelsey of MADE by MK. $50 includes all materials ($40 for 567 members). Open to ages 18 & up. January 18, 10 am-12:30 pm.
Though the risks are minimal, by registering for this class, you are assuming the risk of exposure to resin and will not hold The 567 Center or the instructor responsible for any adverse reaction experienced from a resin allergy. Participants will be provided with masks and nitrile gloves.
Your project will require 24 hours to cure before transporting it. You must return during business hours to pick up your project. The gallery is open Monday-Friday, 11 am-4 pm. We will also be open 5-8 pm on First Friday, February 7. Please contact The 567 if other project retrieval options are needed.
