TERRACOTA PLANTER:
Create this unique planter out of terracotta clay. No glazing is required for this project and it has a beautiful matte finish.
HOW LONG IS THE WORKSHOP: 75 minutes making time
WHAT DO I MAKE: 1 pinch pot planter Approx. 3.5″× 3″
PRICE: $30 + HST per person
Each person sculpts 1 planter/ one time visit.
PLATES OR BOWLS:
Create a plate or a bowl out of stoneware clay. Glazing is required for this project.
HOW LONG IS THE WORKSHOP: 75 minutes making time
WHAT DO I MAKE: A plate Approx. 7.8″ of diameter. Or a Bowl 6" x 4"
PRICE: $35 + HST per person
(Each person sculpts 1 plate or a bowl) 2 times visit. (come back to glaze during our drop in class).
Details about the workshop:
- Please arrive on time to ensure you get the full instructions before entering the studio to create your project. Even come a little early! Look around, say hi! Please, please, be on time.
- After the demo, you have up to one hour and 15 minutes to sculpt your clay, get creative and add the details. The creating time is self-directed for you to enjoy the process of creating!
The tradition of pottery making is really important to us. You, the artist, hand-build your unique clay piece from scratch at our studios. We focus on the process of making pottery, which takes time. In our clay workshops, we do not paint on a pre-designed, factory-made, ceramic molds.
EXPERIENCE THE WHEEL:
Includes a pottery wheel demonstration. Each
participant will be given an opportunity to try their hand throwing on the wheel.
HOW LONG IS THE WORKSHOP: 75 minutes throwing time
WHAT DO I MAKE: play & experimenting the wheel (save one piece)
