Using a single play to explore acting techniques and text analysis, this class will culminate in participants performing scenes from the play in chronological order, giving the live audience a chance to hear the full story through a series of scene studies. Participants will perform in the style of readers-theatre: no memorization and minimal movement required; the characters are brought to life through voice, posture, and facial expression.
This workshop series is open to adults of all ages!

Meet your instructor: Breona Conrad
Breona Bio:
A multi-faceted theatre practitioner, Breona Conrad has been seen onstage with many companies throughout the state including Phoenix Theatre, Don Bluth Front Row Theatre, Stray Cat, BLK BOX PHX, Southwest Shakespeare, Flagstaff Shakespeare Festival, Bridge Initiative, and Ronin Theatre. Before moving to Phoenix, Breona spent five years in the Cincinnati theatre scene where she spent two years touring regionally with Madcap Puppet Theatre (and nationally for three years with Know Theatre of Cincinnati). When not on stage, Breona works as a Teaching Artist with East Valley Children's Theatre, ASU Gammage High School Musical Theatre Awards, and Disney Musicals in Schools and has a private studio for one-on-one voice and acting students. She is also a Board and core company member of The Bridge Initiative and Places! Productions. Breona has also been a part of several production teams throughout the valley. Her credits include: choreography and direction, respectively, Places! Productions, choreography, Southwest Shakespeare, and choreography, EVCT along with writing, directing and choreographing for the Bravo! Musical Theatre Performance Troupe from East Valley Children's Theatre for the past 3 seasons.
