Class Description:
Discover the sweet side of Italian cuisine and take your baking skills to the next level! In this hands-on class, you'll learn how to create a trio of iconic Italian desserts: rich Tiramisu; a luscious, creamy Cannoli; and crunchy, twice-baked Biscotti Cookies. Your guide is Pastry Chef Catie Wiley, who joins us after a distinguished career as a pastry chef at several iconic patisseries and restaurants on the East Coast.

We'll start with the decadent Tiramisu, a sophisticated no-bake trifle. You'll learn how to whip up custardy layers of whipped mascarpone and espresso-soaked ladyfingers for a light-yet-luscious dessert. Next, you'll prepare the classic filling for Cannoli - a sweet and creamy blend of Italian cheese, vanilla, and chocolate chips with just a hint of cinnamon and orange zest. After mastering the mixing techniques, you'll learn how to pipe this irresistible filling into crisp cannoli shells. To accompany your dessert spread, you'll bake up Biscotti - traditional Italian twice-baked cookies. From forming the dough logs and the initial bake, to slicing and giving them their signature crunch, these nutty, lightly sweet treats are perfect for dipping into coffee or dessert wine.

By the end of the class, you'll take home a sampling of your Italian dessert handiwork to share, along with recipes to keep these classics in your repertoire. Mangia bene!

Please note that any refund issued for classes purchased using a Gift Certificate or Account Credit will result in reinstatement of the original Gift Card or Account Credit and will bear the same expiration date. Account Credits issued for cancelations within three weeks of a class will expire one year from the date of issuance. We reserve the right to cancel a class for any reason, at any time, in which case you will receive a full refund.
