Basics of Oil Painting - Spring 2020 - OLD

In this 8-week class, adults will learn the basics of oil painting, with a focus on composition and perspective. Artist Beth Smith will guide you as you paint a still life and a cityscape. In the process, students will also learn about color theory, materials, and other topics unique to oil paints. This class is open to beginners with little painting experience, as well as intermediate artists who wish to review the basics of oil painting. The cost for the entire course is $210 for non-members, $175 for members, and includes all supplies. The class will meet on Mondays, 6:30-8:30 pm, starting February 24. Ages 16 and up.
