Session 1 (13+) GENETICS
2:10-3:00 pm
This advanced STEM home school class for students aged 13 and above delves into the intricate world of genetics with a focus on current scientific research and real-world applications. Participants will investigate genetic principles, including DNA structure, gene expression, and genetic disorders, through interactive simulations and laboratory experiments. The course emphasizes critical thinking and problem-solving as students analyze genetic data and explore topics like genetic engineering and personalized medicine. By the end of the class, students will have a deep understanding of genetic concepts and their impact on science and society.
There is a $5 additional cost for each student to help cover some of the cost for materials.
*****To ensure a focused learning environment for all students, we kindly ask that while one sibling is engaged in their class, the others bring their home school work rather than free play at The Bricklab. This helps minimize distractions and supports a productive atmosphere for everyone involved. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.******
