Class Description:
Indulge in a delightful afternoon with Mom as we celebrate her day with our enchanting Mother's Day Tea. Join us for this elegant demonstration class as Executive Chef Gary showcases the art of tea brewing and creating a delectable spread fit for queens and moms alike. The afternoon tea tradition has come a long way in its more than two centuries of history, but the core idea is simple: dainty sandwiches and delicious pastries served with a pot of classic English tea.

First Chef Gary will demonstrate how to brew the perfect pot of tea, which we will then serve to you and your family. Then he’ll show you how to make the perfect Chicken Curry filling for those tasty Chicken Curry Tea Sandwiches you’ll be enjoying. He’ll also demonstrate how to make handmade tart shells for the Lemon Curd Tarts, where tangy lemon curd matches up perfectly with the freshly made buttery pastry tart. While you enjoy your tea with mom, you’ll have sweet, crumbly Cream Scones paired with a dollop of clotted cream and jam. Finally, you’ll enjoy a selection of pastries made by Chef Gary, like Swedish Pecan Finger Cookies and Chocolate Kahlúa Bites. Whether you're treating mom to a special surprise or simply celebrating the wonderful women in your life, our Mother's Day Tea promises to be an occasion to remember.

Notes:

• We provide a full refund if you need to cancel more than three weeks prior to the start of a scheduled class. You will receive an Account Credit if you need to cancel at any time within three weeks but prior to the class start time. Please note that any refund issued for classes purchased using a Gift Certificate or Account Credit will result in reinstatement of the original Gift Card or Account Credit and will bear the same expiration date. Account Credits issued for cancelations within three weeks of a class will expire one year from the date of issuance. We reserve the right to cancel a class for any reason, at any time, in which case you will receive a full refund.
• Family friendly (5+). All ages 5 and up welcome. Children below the age of 18 must be accompanied by a paying adult.
• If (a) you’d like to sit with another registered guest, or (b) have any food allergies or dietary restrictions, please let us know in the Comments section of your registration after reading our full description of policies and information about classes. If you've registered with other people on the same order, you will automatically be seated together.
• Your registration tells us that you have read through the class description including the age requirements for that particular class.
• Our Kitchen Shop Experience™ will be open for browsing prior to class, during any breaks, and after class.
