Class Description:
Learn the classical (yet learnable!) techniques for successful sauté, searing and pan sauces from a professional. Once learned your cooking skills will soar! We promise. Executive Chef & experienced culinary educator Richard McPeake will demonstrate each technique then it's your turn to get some practice and to perfect your new-found skills. You'll learn dishes such as Sautéed Shrimp Scampi with Pistachio Garlic Butter, Chicken Al Bercy, (pan sautéed chicken breast with a chardonnay sauce), Sautéed Seared Beef Tips With Brandy Peppercorn Sauce with an interesting (and delicious) potato hash. Chef will finish with a “live” demonstration of Bananas Foster Flambé’! All of these amazing dishes are made in a saucepan! Who knew? Trust us, after this informative class, you’ll leave with the confidence needed to create culinary masterpieces in your own kitchen.

Prior to registration, if you or any member of the group for which you are registering is under 18 years of age at the date of the class, please contact The Culinary Center of Kansas City at cook@kcculinary.com or 913-341-4455 to determine whether admittance to class will be allowed. There are certain classes where 14 years and older may attend as long as an adult also attends with them and as long as we have a completed waiver signed by a legal representative for the child. Without prior approval and a properly signed waiver, any registrant who is under 18 years of age will not be allowed to participate in this class. I acknowledge and understand that I and all parties for whom I am registering will be asked to execute a written liability waiver prior to the start of the class and that this waiver is required in order to participate in the class.
