Join chef and wine educator Jen Murray, DWSET on a journey through Portuguese wine and Port. Portugal produces many styles of wine that are often under valued and passed over for better known areas of production like Napa , France or Italy. Although many people are familiar with Port, they may be less familiar with the dry white and red wines produced in other regions. In this class, Jen will touch upon the history of Port and Port production in addition to discussing wine production from other regions. Wines may include a vinho verde, red wine from the regions of the Douro & Alentejo, a Tawny Port and a Late Bottle Vintage Port. All wines will be paired with cheese, cured meats, olives and chocolate.
This workshop is for adults 18 +. Class length estimate is 3 hours.
