Originating in the 1940's from the Lindy Hop, West coast Swing is a slot dance which uses stretch and compression to create an elastic look. Known as a living dance, West Coast Swing is in a state of constant evolution, incorporating new trends in dance and music giving it the ability to be danced to nearly any style whether Jazz, Disco, Country, Latin or Pop.
