Want to learn how to safely use some basic tools around the woodshop for projects or home improvement? Look no further than this student Q&A lead class!

Learn basic operating skills and safety for the miter saw, table saw, hand drill, jigsaw, and palm sander, and how to glue wood. Most beginner to intermediate wood projects use these basic tools. The goal is to be able to start making your own projects using the skills learned in this low-pressure class environment. Turn the projects you see on DIY sites into projects you can build yourself.

Pairs Well With For those thinking membership, taking  two classes gets you access to all the tools you just learned in this power-tools class. Woodshop Orientation A & Woodshop Orientation B are required before a member has access to the wood-shop
.Plan Your Visit All materials and safety equipment supplied.  Closed-toed shoes, natural fibers (cotton, denim, linen), with long hair pulled back. Plan to arrive for class about 10-15 min early and check in at the front desk. Our main entrance is on State Street, with parking in the Gravity garage (access on State St across from Lucas St), validation for Gravity Garage included in your class price. Please bring the ticket from the garage with you.
