Description:
Wildlife and nature photography doesn’t mean you have to go on an expensive safari or trip far from home. In fact, the ideal spot for your best wildlife and nature photography is probably a whole lot closer than you think.
In this summer camp, we’ll explore tools and techniques for creative wildlife and nature, including:
- Exposure and camera settings. Shutter speed, Aperture and ISO work together.
- Autofocus and single frame vs. continuous shooting.
- Lens choices for reaching far, lenses for seeing small, lenses for landscapes.
- Creative choices. Best times of day. Good light/Bad light. Good weather/Bad weather. (We’ll do the walkabouts rain or shine, the instructor will share tips on rainy day shooting.)
- Getting closer to your subjects. When too close is a problem.
- Two days of practice as we walk the nature trail at Springbrook Nature Center in Fridley.
- Photo show and share. Constructive feedback will help you refine your ideas.
- To go beyond, some suggestions for great locations near you.
