We have a wide variety of parties - but there are even more projects. The A La Carte option provides you the opportunity to go beyond our standard parties.
We offer projects in four main categories: earthenware pottery painting, stoneware pottery painting, acrylic painting, and fused glass. You will want to choose one category in advance. Your guests can choose their projects at the event.
Your event includes 2 hours in our festive party room! A party host, dedicated to your group, will lead the participants through their project. If this is a birthday party, there is a $70 party fee that includes a special birthday craft for each guest, and the birthday celebrant gets a spin on our prize wheel.
Use of the party room incurs a $300 minimum event cost. If the total cost does not meet the minimum, you will be charged the difference as a room rental fee. As long as your party exceeds $300, you will not pay an additional fee for the room rental.
There is a $50 charge to reserve your date. The rest of the costs, including project fees for each participant, party fee (if a birthday party) and room rental fee (if total doesn't exceed $300) is due the day of the event.
Because each a la carte party is different, we would like to talk to you to customize your event. The first step in booking an a la carte party is to call the studio.
Party Frequently Asked Questions:
Should I come early? Our room is ready to party and won’t require decoration, but we understand you might want to come a few minutes early to setup. We allow for 15 minutes of setup time prior to the beginning of your time slot. Earlier arrival may simply mean you are setting up while we are cleaning from the previous party.
If a child's party, can parents stay? We expect a parent or trusted adult to stay with the group. We don't typically recommend having more than 3-4 adults at a child’s party, to avoid overcrowding. If multiple parents stay, we will set aside a separate area for them to watch the party from.
If an adult group, can we bring wine or other beverages? Wisconsin does not allow alcohol carry-ins, but Soul Fire has a liquor license and we have a beverage menu that includes wine, cocktails, coffee, tea, soda and water. While state law prohibits bringing alcohol, you are welcome to bring soda, water, or other non-alcoholic beverages.
What if I don't know how many participants will come? Your party automatically includes up to 8 participants. Your estimate when booking helps with our planning, but you will only be charged based on the number of participants who attend, not based on the estimate. Having an accurate estimate does help our setup, so if your projected number of guests changes much from the original estimate, we would love a call. The party room can accommodate up to 30 people, and as you plan remember both kids and adults count towards this total.
What if my desired time isn’t available online? We have four party times available each weekend for you to book online. Saturday parties are from 1-3pm or 4-6pm, and Sunday parties are from 12-2pm or 3-5pm. If you would like a party at a different time, please call the studio at 262-646-8900.
Can I order specific pottery pieces for my party or event? While can't guarantee that we will have specific pieces, we are happy to order pieces if enough time is provided. We typically need at least a month to receive products, and can't guarantee our supplier has your requested items in stock. Please call the studio to discuss your options.
Do you have suggestions for cake or food? Booking the party room allows you to bring food to Soul Fire! As a local small business we greatly appreciate your support and refer you to our wonderful neighbors:

(When considering food, remember that oils from food can harm pottery, so hand-washing is recommended after eating. In terms of drinks, by Wisconsin law, outside drinks you bring cannot be alcoholic.)
Are we able to tip our Party Guide? It is customary to tip after a party. We hope by the end of your party you will agree our guides are providing exceptional service. When you check out after your party you will have the option to add a tip.
