Take your culinary skills to the next level. In this five-day Boot Camp, Beacon Pantry's Stacey Penlon will teach kids age 11-16, essential cooking techniques and share kitchen wisdom that will stay with them for a lifetime. Students will become proficient at knife skills, meat and vegetable cookery, making dough and baking. Additionally, they will understand the hows and whys of cooking, preparing them for a future of confidence in the kitchen. At the end of each day the students will enjoy their creations together in a sit down lunch.
Day 1 | Brunch Basics : Knife Skills Lesson, Build-Your-Own Omelets, Savory Home Fries, Blueberry-Buttermilk Pancakes, Crispy Bacon.
Day 2 | Lunch: Personal Pizzas with Assorted Toppings, Homemade Tomato Sauce, Zesty Meatballs
Day 3 | Dinner: UnFried Chicken Thighs, Homemade Macaroni and Cheese, Caesar Salad with Toasted Croutons
Day 4 | Baking and Pastry: Banana walnut bread, Vanilla cupcakes with chocolate buttercream, Savory Vegetable Tart
Day 5 | Snacks that Impress: Homemade Salsa, Mile High Nachos, Deviled Eggs, Homemade Hummus
Each class runs from 10am-12:30pm ending with a full sit down lunch.
