Private Music Lessons

Tuition and Fees: All classes are $125/month per student. Your first month’s payment plus a one-month non-refundable deposit is due at the time of registration. The regular monthly payment is automatically charged the first of the month on a Visa, MC or Discover card. Deposits will be applied to the last month’s tuition. If you begin classes partway through the month, your first payment will be pro-rated. There is a separate credit card agreement that must be completed. Tuition is based upon 48 classes per year. Days off for 2018 are: Memorial Day (5/25-5/31), Independence Day (7/3-7/5), Labor Day (8/31-9/4), Halloween (10/31), Thanksgiving Break (11/22-11/25), and Winter Break (12/23-1/2/19). Your monthly payment does not change since these days off are already figured into the $125/month tuition price. Each student is required to keep a credit card securely on file. We accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover. Your credit card will be charged $125 on the first of each month. Attendance Policy: Regular attendance of lessons is necessary for progress and continuity. The tuition you pay reserves a specific lesson time with your teacher (example: Wednesdays from 4:30-5:00) each week, therefore, your lesson cannot be rescheduled. Make ups: We try very hard to offer makeups for our students, however, make ups are not guaranteed. If you have to miss a lesson, we require that you provide written notice 24 hours in advance in order to receive a makeup. You may email music@buctownmusic.com If you do not provide advance notice, you forfeit your lesson and are not eligible for a make up. You may recoup your make-up in the time slot of an absent student. You can see available make up times on our website and email or call to reserve a spot that works for you. You may do a make-up with any teacher, you are not guaranteed a make-up with your specific teacher. It is the student’s responsibility to contact Bucktown Music to arrange a make- up time, we will not automatically re-schedule your lesson nor will we call you when there is an opening. Makeups do not expire as long as you are an enrolled student. Bucktown Music does not provide refunds or credit for missed lessons. If you stop taking lessons, all make-ups are forfeited. In the case of a teacher absence, Bucktown Music will provide a qualified substitute. Discontinuing Lessons: You must provide written notice that you intend to discontinue private lessons before the first day of your last month.
