Class Description:
In this hands-on vegetarian cooking class, you'll learn to prepare a fresh and seasonal, summer inspired, French dinner party menu that will have you feeling like you've walked into an intimate Parisian garden party. Your guide is CCKC Head Instructor and Executive Chef Melissa Houston, who has travelled the globe cooking and teaching for over 30 years. Hailing from the West Coast, Melissa uses her wealth of culinary experience to put her own unique spin on regional and global cuisine that is both healthy and delicious.
We'll begin with a classic appetizer to whet your appetite - a creamy Baked Goat Cheese dip topped with Shallots and Roasted Tomatoes served with warm Crostini. Staying seasonal, you will assemble a vibrant Beet and Endive salad with crunchy Pistachios, juicy Orange Segments, and crisp Butter Lettuce. Chef Melissa is spilling her secrets on the art of making a simple Vinaigrette that brings all the flavors together for a perfect summer salad.
For the pièce de résistance, you will prepare an Artichoke and Portabella Gratin - a comforting vegetarian dish featuring layers of fresh Artichoke Hearts, Portabella Mushrooms, and a Sherry-infused Tomato Sauce. This elegant gratin will be so filling and hearty, you’ll forget it’s a meat-less main.
We’re capping your afternoon off with a light-as-air Raspberry Mousse. Start with Whipped Ricotta and fold in Heavy Cream and Fresh Raspberries. You'll be amazed at how effortless it is to create this stunning, iconic French treat. By the end of this delectable culinary experience, you'll have all the skills and recipes needed to host your own French feast at home. Bon appétit!

- We provide a full refund if you need to cancel more than three weeks prior to the start of a scheduled class. You will receive an Account Credit if you need to cancel at any time within three weeks but prior to the class start time. Please note that any refund issued for classes purchased using a Gift Certificate or Account Credit will result in reinstatement of the original Gift Card or Account Credit and will bear the same expiration date. Account Credits issued for cancelations within three weeks of a class will expire one year from the date of issuance. We reserve the right to cancel a class for any reason, at any time, in which case you will receive a full refund.
- This class is for adults 18+. Children 14-17 years old are allowed if accompanied by a parent or guardian. Please let us know if you plan to bring a minor.

If you've registered with other people on the same order, you will automatically be seated together.
