This six class series meets on Thursday mornings 9:30-12:30, June 6, 13, 20, and July 11, 18, 25. It is limited to five participants so I can give everyone individual attention.
This class is designed to introduce/reinforce techniques for painting with oils. We will begin with the basics and have guided activities each week; we will all be working on the same composition. We will work on small studies, and I will demonstrate the process, which gives you the freedom to "learn" before having the stress of creating a masterpiece. You will find it easier if you have some drawing experience.
All participants should bring a pencil or pen and sketchbook of their choice.
If you have your own oil painting supplies, feel free to bring those so you can become familiar with them and practice at home between classes. Bring only odorless mineral spirits (Ex. Mona Lisa or Gamsol). If you do not have your own supplies, I will provide them for additional fee ($10 per session). This way, you can try things out before you make an investment in the supplies.
I'm looking forward to sharing my passion with you!
You will need to bring your own supplies, but I will have palettes to borrow, easels, paper towels, and coffee (if desired).
