Textile: Fiber Arts PM Camp (Week 10)

TEXTILE FIBER ART

During this week campers will explore five different elements of fiber and textile art while stimulating creativity in a fun and practical way! Starting out we will learn the basics of using dyes to create funky tie dye shirts then will advance to discovering the art of wool needle felting to create a felted garden. From there campers will be introduced to linoleum stamp carving and fabric printing on a pillowcase, decorating it with their own original design. Next we'll learn how to create a small stuffed animal. Then finally discuss the basics of hand embroidery with learning several beginner stitches and one intermediate stitch.
