Portraiture on Clay

Thursdays / 8 weeks, October 15 - December 10  / 6:30 - 8:30 with Laurie Wright / $250

An in depth study on methods and techniques in drawing and painting faces on clay surfaces.  We will be practicing with low fire glazes on slip cast pieces but all processes learned will be applicable to stoneware and underglazes.  Come prepared with images of faces (not restricted to human) you'd like to memorialize on a plate, tile or platter.  Some projects will be guided, while others will be your own ideas.  All materials will be included, but we'll talk about additional things you might want to pick up on the first day of class.
