We will be creating our pottery projects in our favorite Green Guy Christmas theme!
Students will complete 2 projects, including a snack plate and a cocoa mug using a variety of techniques. They will learn how to apply patterns, glaze, and learn about kilns to create their own usable items to use at home.
Messes are what we do best! Getting messy is a fun part of learning about art. It is not recommended to send your camper in their best clothes. Glazes are water soluble and will wash out of clothes.
Requirements: Campers must be 8 yrs+ and self sufficient. We pack a lot of projects into a short time frame and need our campers to be able to follow instructions and stay on task.
We love to have fun, but we also take learning and safety seriously. Our classes and camps are ran like a classroom setting. All students are expected to come willing to learn, have fun, and be respectful of all attendees.
Drop off: All campers must be signed in at drop off. Please bring your student to the classroom door for signing in and signing out. We will not allow children to wander around the studio or exit the building without being signed out by their grownup.
What to bring: Campers may bring a water bottle with a closed lid.
Snack: A snack will be provided, please list any food allergies your camper may have. Campers with a severe food allergy may bring a safe snack. We need to safely monitor what we bring in for our students, we kindly as our participants to not bring any food with them for the camp.
Ohio Ace Grant: The Sweada Mae Art Cafe is a qualified provider for the Ohio Ace Grant Program. Students who qualify may submit the receipt for this educational class to their ACE account for reimbursement.
