Welcome to our 1x Pottery Wheel Class!

$60 per person / 7 Max. (7+ Groups Must Book a Party) / Minimum Age: 8

One-time wheel participants will make up to 3 pieces in a 90-minute class led by an instructor who will demonstrate wheel throwing and help the potters create their pieces
Private Class Fee - OPTIONAL - This covers personalized instruction and setup for your group! Recommended for Couples/Family/Friends looking for a private experience!

Pieces are bisque fired in our kiln, and you will be called after about 2-3 weeks when they are ready for you to come back and paint with our full range of ceramic colors. Please do not call us unless it has passed the 3-week mark or if there are changes in picking up.

The person booking the 1x Wheel will be in charge of picking up the finished pottery wheel pieces and scheduling a table reservation to glaze your groups work!

Pottery Wheel Class Includes 3 Pounds of Clay Per Person, Kiln Firing (Bisque and Glaze), Instruction, Studio Glazes and 2 hour Studio-Time. Studio time is for painting final pieces.

Those with long hair please braid it or have in a ponytail, refrain from wearing rings/bracelets/long necklaces, have on CLOSED toe shoes, and wear clothing you are comfortable getting clay on. It is also recommended to trim your fingernails before your class, as long nails can make things more challenging. The Pottery Wheel is messy and thankfully clay will wash out, but please come prepared!

Gratuity is included in the price that goes directly to the instructor, additional gratuity is appreciated, but not required.

**NOTE**
Groups only get a 15–20-minute grace period unless it is an emergency, or your group has called and notified our studio of a potential delay. After the grace period you may lose your session and will be given no refund. We recommend coming early to find parking especially if your group is coming separately and have never been to our studio before.

Thank you for choosing Art Dept. Studios! We’re excited to have you join our One-Time Pottery Wheel Class. This 90-minute session is $60 per person (7-person max; groups of 7+ must call to book) with a $20 private class fee that covers personalized instruction and studio setup. Gratuity is included and goes directly to your instructor—additional tips are appreciated but not required. Each participant will receive up to 3 pounds of clay to create up to 3 pieces, guided by a professional instructor who will demonstrate and assist throughout the class. Finished pieces will be bisque fired, and you’ll be notified within 2–3 weeks when they’re ready to return for painting with our full range of studio glazes. Please do not call for updates unless it has been more than 3 weeks or you need to update your pickup plans. The person who booked the class will be responsible for coordinating pickup and scheduling the return glazing session. Studio time includes both your initial class and a separate 2-hour painting session. For safety, please wear closed-toe shoes, tie back long hair, remove jewelry, and trim long nails. Payment is required to hold your spot. There are no refunds or prorating for missed classes. Cancellations made within 14 days of your class are non-refundable and not eligible for credit. In the event of inclement weather, we will contact you to reschedule. Groups have a 15–20 minute grace period for arrival; late arrivals beyond that may result in a forfeited session with no refund. We recommend arriving early to find parking, especially if your group is arriving separately or visiting for the first time. A 6% PA sales tax is added to all classes, camps, and events.
