3D Animation: Autodesk Maya

Learn how to make 3D models for your video games using top software: Autodesk Maya!

Autodesk Maya is one of the leading 3D modeling programs used today in AAA title games and blockbuster films for automation, 3D modeling, character creation, and much, much more! We will show how you too can start your journey in creating 3D content for your favorite game engines and animated films.

This is an introductory class with no prior skills required other than a basic knowledge of basic computer navigation. Within Maya, we'll explore the concepts of 3D navigation, primitive shapes, and components, and work to build your first 3D props!

Feel free to bring your own laptop and storage device (USB 3.0 Flash Drive) to save your work. Mac or Windows welcomed! Student laptops are available on a limited basis, indicated on the registration page. It is optional and not required to bring your own USB 3.0 8GB+ flash drive to save class files onto to bring home.
