4 week Pottery Wheel Class - Mondays

Magic Happens when you create something out of nothing with your hands,  No piece is ever the same and perfection is not possible!  We call it Perfectly Imperfect!


This class is for anyone ages 15 and above who want to learn throwing on the wheel. Each session is 2.5-3 hours. We are using a Stoneware clay that after being glazed and fired will be food safe, microwave safe and dishwasher safe. This is a four session class.  You will attend 3 sessions, we will break for 2 weeks so the clay can dry and be bisque fired in our kiln.  Then you will return for the last session to glaze your pieces so we may fire one last time to a beautiful rich finish.

There is a maximum of 3 students per session. Please bring your own towel and wear clothing you do not mind getting dirty.  Since we can only accept 3 students, it is very important you give us 72 hours if cancelation is needed so we may fill your spot.

Total cost is $125 and includes all clay required for class, use of all instruments, instruction, 2 kiln firings, glazing and open studio wheel time to practice during our regular operating hours. $50 non-refundable deposit holds your spot, the remainder will be due the night of the first class. Or, you may choose to pay in full, choose your preference at checkout.

In this class you will learn how to throw pots, mugs and bowls on the wheel.  Please note that people who choose to keep long manicured nails, might be disappointed and frustrated with their experience as throwing on the wheel does require short nails.  It is possible to throw with long nails, but very difficult.
