ARTrepreneur Camp is a hands-on creative business experience where young artists learn how to turn their ideas into real, sellable work.
Throughout the week, campers will explore craftsmanship, creative branding, and the basics of entrepreneurship as they design and create original artworks and products. They will develop their own brand identity, learn how to present their work professionally, and practice pricing, display, and marketing strategies in a fun and supportive studio environment.
This is a full-week, immersive camp experience where projects build each day. Campers are expected to attend the full week in order to complete their work and prepare for the final experience.
The week concludes with a real-world selling opportunity at the Downtown Farmer's Market on Saturday, July 11th, from 8am-12pm, where campers will showcase and sell their work to the public. Campers keep 90 percent of their profits, with 10 percent retained to cover taxes, and processing handled by Flourish. This gives students a realistic introduction to how creative businesses function while still prioritizing fairness and learning.
Most importantly, ARTrepreneur Camp is designed to challenge the idea that being an artist is not a viable path. Campers leave with the experience of seeing their creativity valued, purchased, and celebrated in a real community setting.
What Campers Will Create
Each artist will be encouraged to follow their own creative interests as they develop their work throughout the week. Flourish will provide a wide range of materials and support for painting, printmaking, textiles, drawing, beading, sculpture, and mixed media exploration.
Campers may choose to focus on one medium or combine several as they develop their products and ideas.
Artists are also encouraged to bring their own materials from home if they would like to pursue a specific vision or build on an existing creative practice. This may include sketchbooks, specialty materials, fabric, tools, or personal creative supplies.
Our goal is to support each camper in developing work that feels authentic, intentional, and uniquely their own.
