In this workshop, students will paint a lovely "Big Sky Landscape", through a step-by-step process with Lynne, through the process of layering, blending and building, to make the painting feel dimensional. This workshop is great for all styles of painting, and will be a great lesson in composition. Painting clouds and the shadows is so much fun!!
Students will be using brushes, and possibly pallet knives and acrylic mediums to create textures, layers and contrast. Lynne’s hands-on instruction will include fundamentals of mixing colors, application techniques and using complimentary colors in through the process. Lynne will encourage students to explore and experiment with style, form.
Bring along your favorite brushes if you would like to. A 16x20 canvas is supplied, but you are welcome to bring your own canvas if you would like to, but no larger than a 24"x24".

Lynne Looney is a full-time, professional artists with a formal art degree. She has been painting for 40 years, producing large scale murals, billboards, set design, special events, corporate and private clients. Her work features bold colors, expressive brushwork and multi-textured surfaces.
