Artist Academy Wheel Throwing Pottery

This is a introductory 2.5 hour class that will give you the chance to try out a potter's wheel and get your hands dirty, while our instructor helps you to make your own unique pot. We provide everything you need. All you have to do is come ready to have a good time. We will fire up to three pieces of your choice and they will be ready for pickup in about 2 weeks. It is your responsibility to pick up your pieces within 30 days after they are fired. This class is great for kids, adults and the whole family!

Part of the process in wheel throwing is basic studio etiquette. Your class time includes not only throwing, but also cleaning your wheel and surrounding floor area and clay tools that were used. Clay is messy - leave your watches and rings at home. Please bring a towel to wipe your hands and wear an apron/clothes you can get dirty (clay does wash out). A clean studio is a healthy studio as clay dust can build up.
