Over 5 weeks, we will learn the basics of modern calligraphy as well as intermediate skills like flourishes and other types of lettering. You'll get a great understanding on putting pieces together and how to use different types of lettering together in one piece. By the end of our class, you'll be creating pieces that are liken to those found in stores everywhere! You'll see that there are a couple of beginner level classes as well as intermediate level classes, but don't worry! You'll have plenty of time to practice and try out what you've learned each week and gain the confidence you need to put together a fantastic piece by the end!
*All supplies are included in this class. If you have a set of brush markers, please feel free to bring them.
We will meet on Wednesday nights from 7:00-8:30 pm:
Here's what you'll be learning over the 5 weeks:
January 10: Basic strokes and lowercase letters (Beginner level class)- Value $30
January 17: Uppercase letters and numbers (Beginner level class)- Value $30
January 24: Flourishes (Intermediate level class)- Value $20
January 31: Block and other types of lettering (Intermediate level class)- Value $25
February 7: Composition and Final Piece- Value $45 or more!
