Learn how to use the laser cutter’s rotary attachment in this Safety and Basic Use class. The rotary attachment allows laser etching on cylindrical objects such as wine glasses, beer mugs, flashlights, bottles, and even drumsticks. Imagine the possibilities!
***Please note - if participant is under age 14, they must be accompanied by an adult. Both adult and child must purchase a spot in the class. The adult must stay for the duration of instruction (see note below).
Project: Etch a design into a glass tumbler or coffee mug
Prerequisite(s): Intro to Laser Cutting and Etching
Equipment access: Laser engraver rotary attachment
Minimum age: 12 years
Supervision requirements: During class, all 12 and 13-year-old students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is also enrolled in the class.
When using the laser rotary attachment outside of class time, 12 and 13-year-old members must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or guardian who has passed the class.
Safety: Closed-toed shoes are mandatory.
Once you take and successfully pass this class, you can use this equipment for your projects whenever you work at BFL as a member!
