Surf 'n' Turf was first featured in 1962 at the Eye Of The Needle, a revolving restaurant atop the Space Needle in Seattle, Washington. It is often considered to symbolize what was known as "Continental Cuisine" of the 60's and 70's. Join us as Chef Bruce Campbell brings this old-school menu forward in one of our most popular cooking classes. Not only will you learn classic cooking techniques like sauté, but you'll add to your culinary repertoire as Chef demonstrates the art of 'sous vide'. (Sous what? Come to class and find out.). He'll even pour a paired wine with dinner tonight. You'll help prepare some of these recipes to create a beautiful steak & seafood dinner for two. Prepare to learn some mad cooking cred and even get a less on grilling foods. The menu includes dishes such as Seafood Chowder with Sweet Drop Biscuits, Beef Tenders with Steak Butter, Shrimp Scampi, Savory Potato Shingles and Glazed Carrots. We said this was old-school, right? For dessert, Bruce will show off his culinary skills as he demos a spectacular Chocolate Dark Rum Truffle Torte, right before your eyes. Step back in time with us.
