Class Description
Challah bread may just be the most versatile bread out there- thick, luxurious French toast? Check. Perfect, dense bread pudding? Yep, Challah can do that too. You can even use it as a stuffing base. Today we're teaching you it to make a classic Challah loaf and a festive pull apart "Star bread" that is perfect for making your kitchen warm and cozy this winter.

Your guide is Executive Pastry Chef Catie Wiley, who joins us after a distinguished career as a pastry chef at several iconic patisseries and restaurants on the East Coast. Catie is showing you how to make a gorgeous "star bread" or "snowflake" pastry. This twisted beauty easily pulls apart and will be dressed up with a cinnamon and sugar spread, making it a festive addition to any winter gathering. We're also learning the techniques and tricks to make a braided Challah loaf, a delectable, dense and versatile bread that will become a staple of your bread baking repertoire.

This class is for adults 18+. Children 14-17 years old are allowed if accompanied by a parent or guardian. Please let us know if you plan to bring a minor.
