Come explore the vibrant and fluid colors of Alcohol Ink on Aluminum and see what happens when you set your art on fire. If you have enjoyed Alcohol Ink on other surfaces or have never used Alcohol Ink this is the class for you. Alcohol Ink is a fast-moving, quick-drying, medium that is fun and flammable.
The class includes a short talk about Alcohol Ink, and demonstrations on how to use the ink and tools. Students will be able to practice on a 6x6 sheet of aluminum. Once students feel ready to set their art on fire the class will move outside for a demonstration and practice. Students will discover they may want to add more ink or fire again.
Once students feel ready, larger aluminum sheets of various sizes will be available.(6x12, 12x12, 12x18,18x24, and 24x24).
The final part of sealing the art will not be done during class, but instructions on sealing will be provided at the end of class. Alcohol ink stains clothes, please dress accordingly.
