A great project for beginners, with enough challenge to satisfy more experienced carvers as well, spoons are a comprehensive and versatile carving exercise. Most students come away with their spoon roughly complete, and equipped with the knowledge and reference materials to help them continue to explore woodcarving!

Plan Your Visit
- We'll be using a 8mm #5 shallow palm gouge (provided), but if you have something comparable, you may use your own tools.
- This one day class can be rather arduous for many beginning carvers, so it includes a one hour break.
- Wearing a cut resistant glove is highly recommended, feel free to bring your own or the instructor will have some.
- Students are should wear closed-toe shoes and long pants to participate, and sturdy footwear (e.g. tennis shoes or boots) is recommended.
- Plan to arrive for class about 10-15 min early and check in at the front desk. Our main entrance is on State Street, with parking lot entrance on State St. as well. IF parking and street parking available.
