Class Description
Tonight’s class is focused on a decedent menu of world class ingredients inspired by California's renowned Napa Valley. Your guide is CCKC Head Instructor and Executive Chef Melissa Houston, who has travelled the globe cooking and teaching for over 30 years. Hailing from the West Coast, Melissa uses her wealth of culinary experience to put her own unique spin on regional and global cuisine that is both healthy and delicious.
Our opener is a classic Caesar Salad. Fresh green romaine is tossed in a creamy dressing with flavors of lemon, fresh cracked pepper, garlic, and hints of salty anchovies topped with warm, fresh-made garlic croutons and crisp bacon. Your second dish of the night is a phenomenal favorite for any coastal menu- Lobster Mac & Cheese. Comfort meets elegance in this warm and flavorful baked dish. We will be using a rich blend of Cheddar, Monterey Jack, Gruyere, and Parmesan with Lobster Tails, spices, and herbs to make this sensational side dish. Next, our star of the show- seared New York Strip Steak in Creamy Herb Butter. Chef Melissa will guide you on how to create perfect pan-seared steaks basted in rich butter flavored with garlic, marjoram, thyme, and fresh chopped rosemary. We can’t possibly waste a teaspoon of that heavenly butter, so after you’ve cooked your steak, we’re tossing in a medley of fresh chopped vegetables to cook down in the butter sauce. Finally, conclude your Napa Valley feast with a decadent Chocolate Mousse, a rich and indulgent dessert made of only four ingredients! Truly a take-home recipe to impress your friends and family at your next dinner party.

- We provide a full refund if you need to cancel more than three weeks prior to the start of a scheduled class. You will receive an Account Credit if you need to cancel at any time within three weeks but prior to the class start time. Please note that any refund issued for classes purchased using a Gift Certificate or Account Credit will result in reinstatement of the original Gift Card or Account Credit and will bear the same expiration date. Account Credits issued for cancelations within three weeks of a class will expire one year from the date of issuance. We reserve the right to cancel a class for any reason, at any time, in which case you will receive a full refund.
- This class is for adults 18+. Children 14-17 years old are allowed if accompanied by a parent or guardian. Please let us know if you plan to bring a minor.
