Ready for a deliciously fun night out? Pretzel‑Shaping Happy Hour is a low‑pressure, social baking experience where you and your friends can learn a new skill and enjoy great snacks (with a drink in hand).
In this 2.5-hour workshop, you’ll work with pre‑mixed pretzel dough and focus on the most satisfying part of pretzel making: shaping and baking. We’ll demonstrate how to mix pretzel dough from scratch so you can recreate it at home, then guide you through shaping classic pretzels using professional techniques.
You’ll top and bake your pretzels during class, make warm beer cheese and chocolate fondue together, and enjoy everything fresh with your choice of drink.

Meet Your Instructor
Chef Jan Kratzer is a culinary school graduate from Austria who has worked in Switzerland, Scotland, and the United States. Although he initially focused on craft cocktails, his love for food never faded. After working in various fine-dining restaurants, he rediscovered his passion for baking. He ran a small bakery in LoHi and realized that opening his own shop would be the perfect opportunity to showcase his skills in the USA.
While training his employees at LoDough Bakery, he also discovered a deep passion for teaching and mentoring others in the kitchen.
