Class Description:
We’re inviting junior chefs (ages 9-14) to hop on over to our kitchen for a fun Easter-themed cooking class where they’ll learn how to prepare an ‘egg-stra’ yummy breakfast dish. This brand new class was designed by experienced instructor, Laura Thomsen (we call her Elle T!) and allows kids to touch, feel and smell as they stir, chop, roll, shape and measure their way through today’s interactive class. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and quite possibly the most fun! We’ll kick things off as the kids get their hands in the cooking fun and work alongside Elle T as she guides them through cracking the eggs, whisking the filling, and selecting the remaining ingredients to create a classic Quiche filling. Next, they will create a handmade flakey pastry dough and practice the proper techniques for handling, rolling and shaping a pie crust to take home, fill with the quiche mixture and bake on Easter morning. Whoa…your kitchen is gonna smell soooo good! Elle T will also make sure that the kids mix up enough pastry dough to roll out and cut into ‘cookies’ that can be sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar to be baked at home, too. Yum!

• We provide a full refund if you need to cancel more than three weeks prior to the start of a scheduled class. You will receive an Account Credit if you need to cancel at any time within three weeks but prior to the class start time. Please note that any refund issued for classes purchased using a Gift Certificate or Account Credit will result in reinstatement of the original Gift Card or Account Credit and will bear the same expiration date. Account Credits issued for cancelations within three weeks of a class will expire one year from the date of issuance. We reserve the right to cancel a class for any reason, at any time, in which case you will receive a full refund.
• If (a) you’d like to sit with another registered guest, or (b) have any food allergies or dietary restrictions, please let us know in the Comments section of your registration after reading our full description of policies and information about classes.
• Your registration tells us that you have read through the class description including the age requirements for that particular class.
• This class is designed and taught for kids ages 9-14.  By registering your child you are telling us that your child will be at least 9 years old as of the class date.  We reserve the right to check the age of your child.  Should we find that they are younger than 9, they will not be able to attend this class and no refunds will be given. 
• For kids attending this class, we require A Waiver signed by parent/legal guardian prior to admittance to this class: [Click here to download the Waiver] Note that the Waiver requires that you provide (1) a phone number where you can be reached during the class if necessary and (2) name(s) of any additional people who are authorized to pick up the child after class.  We encourage you to print off a copy of this Waiver, sign it and either 1) scan and email it to heather@kcculinary.com or 2) bring it to class with your student.  Without an appropriately signed Waiver your child will not be allowed to attend class.  We are sorry but we cannot make any exceptions to this rule.  Also note that If someone other than the parent signs a Waiver, they will need a legal document to be presented that shows without question that they have the legal authority to sign a Waiver on behalf of your child at that time.
• Our Kitchen Shop Experience™ will be open for browsing prior to class, during any breaks, and after class.
