With a previous career as a textile designer, Dutch binder Marja Wilgenkamp has a unique perspective on crafting bindings with the influence of textile techniques. That is how the Knitted Boards Binding came about through careful consideration and experimentation in the early 2000s. The open knit of the covers beautifully harmonizes with the exposed sewing on the spine. Students will learn how to craft this incredibly tactile binding as they work through 2 models. Knitting experience is not necessary.
