Drawing 201 is for kids 8+ that have take at least 2 sessions for drawing at the studio or another location. It is expected that the student can draw using perspective 1- and 2-point, sizing and shading appropriately. If a student cannot do these techniques on the first day of class they will be asked to move to Drawing 101, which is Wednesday evenings at 6:30. The session will address more advance uses of drawing techniques such as 3-point perspective, layering of objects, sizing, and scale of different objects in the same still life, and miniatures; other techniques may be included depending on the abilities and skills of the individual student. The artists will develop at their own pace getting individual instruction to advance themselves in the completion of their artwork.
Each new artist will receive a sketchbook on the first day of class for them to use at home and bring to class. Returning students will use the same book. New books can be purchased through the studio when pages are filled.
Students will be given a drawing assignment each week to complete at home to help develop their skills.
Class is recommended for kids 8+.
Registration is required. Space is limited to 8 kids.
**Please note that this is a 7-week session since there will be no class held on Labor Day, Monday, September 2.
