In this 1.5 hour hands-on class, you will learn pickling techniques and experiment with a variety of seasonal fruits, veggies, herbs, and vinegars to find flavor combinations you love.
- Chef Mark will describe and demonstrate quickaling and pickling techniques. He will talk about flavor combinations of various herbs, veggies, fruits, vinegars, and spices.
- Taste 3-4 demonstration recipes and then try it out yourself!
- Each participant will get to select their own mix of 4-5 herbs, fruits, and veggies and a few types of vinegar to experiment with (farm-fresh when on-season).
- Taste along the way, take home what you make, and get the base quickaling and pickling recipes to take home with you.
No cooking experience necessary.
Classes are designed for adults. Teens and tweens may attend with a supportive, registered adult.
NOTE: Key ingredients in this class are various fruits, vegetables, herbs, and vinegars. You choose what you work with.
We will have hot coffee, hot tea, and cold water available. Feel free to bring your own nonalcoholic beverages.
