Drama camp for grades 1-3
This camp will be directed by retired high school drama teacher, Robin Brenneman and by music educator Alexa Rybinski. Students will be introduced to the various aspects of theatre including acting skills, music, choreography and some aspects of technical theatre. They will have a backstage tour of Hilliard Darby High School and have a special presentation by a professional actor. During the week they will rehearse short plays and musical numbers which they will present to their friends and families on the last day of camp.
This camp is for students rising into First, Second, and Third grades; no prior drama experience required.
Dates & Times, Location
This camp meets daily, 9:00am to 4:00pm Monday, July 28, through Friday, August 1.
Drop-off and pick-up will be at the Hilliard Civic & Cultural Arts Center unless communicated otherwise by camp staff (typically one camp day includes time at the splash pad, so please be on the lookout for special instructions for change of clothes or pickup from the splash pad from staff.)
What to Bring
Snacks are provided, but campers will need to supply a packed lunch. Please dress appropriately for the weather in comfortable clothes that can potentially get messy. Water bottle is recommended. Students may want to bring sunscreen or insect repellent as desired as some activities will be outdoors.
