Family Casting
Create a touching keepsake as you plunge your entwined hands into an alginate mold and make a plaster casting of your hands to take home. Our resident sculptor will show you tricks for making your plaster break-resistant, making a good mold, and pro tips for you to explore more at home. Event includes one project kit.

Color Tricks
Explore the science behind Thermochromic pigments (heat sensitive) & Photochromic pigments (UV or sunlight sensitive) as we make a couple take-home projects. Optional: if you want to do a personal color-change shoe project instead of the provided project, bring your own clean white shoes, or clean shoes with white spots you want to color-change.

DIY STEM Suds
Roll up your sleeves for some clean DIY as we create a few different variations of hand-made soap! We'll explore squishy soap, glycerine gem soap, and even some mold-making using laser cut pieces and our vacuum former for a custom mold you can use to make some more fun at home. Event includes material for one of each type of soap and one mold sheet. Additional sets available for purchase below.

- Most events have all materials provided, but check event description to see if you need to bring anything.
- For dining purposes, we typically expect "Family" to mean up to two adults and two children attending. You can purchase extra meals if needed.
Important safety info:
Projects are designed for school age children with parental supervision, and material encountered during this session may include small parts, choking hazards, or substances not meant for ingestion like coin cell batteries, or chemicals and may not suitable for handling by small or unsupervised children. Parents must remain with children at all times. Some supplies, like adhesives and cutting implements should only be handled by adults.
Dietary accommodations
IF RSVPs indicate, vegetarian options can be available, but we cannot accommodate all special dietary requests and cannot certify that all ingredients are not processed in facilities that also handle nuts or tree nuts from caterers. You are welcome to bring your own food, snacks, or drinks, but we will not be able to provide a discount for doing so.
