Father's Day Woodturning- Exotic Wood Pen

Special Father's Day Class!

Fathers and their plus one will turn one pen together in this introductory wood turning class great for ages 10+. Plus enjoy a lunchtime cookout before class!

Age: 10+ (Please indicate age of minors in the "Attendee" section on the registration form)

This class will teach you the basics of how to use a lathe as we make a pen out of exotic woods. We will walk you through the parts of the lathe, how it functions, and the wood-turning tools you will need to turn a square block of wood into a fine pin. Once the wooden planks have been turned and finished, the student will use a pen press to assemble the entire pen. You will get to leave this class with a great take away and instant knowledge that can be applied to other lathe projects. 

Father's Day Cookout Event details:

*One ticket includes Pen (turned by pair of students together) and 2 seats at the Father's Day Cookout from 12-2p* Do you have an extra friend or family member that would love to join the cookout but isn't quite up to the entire class?

Additional tickets to the cookout are $25 per adult (10+) and $10 for children under 10 HERE.

Cookout will take place from 12-2p with additional activities hosted by Idea Foundry Staff! 

Activities may include VR, card making, ping pong, etc. Activities are subject to change or be replaced by activities of equal or greater value.
